Lord, strengthen my children and grandchildren when they encounter various tests in life. May they go to Your Word for help and remember the countless ways You have demonstrated Your steadfast love.
“Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. ” (Psalm 26:2-3)
Lying is a way of life for many. I pray my children and grandchildren will be truthful men and women—people of integrity whose words can be trusted.
“But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.” (Psalm 26:11)
Almighty God, may my children and grandchildren follow the ways of Jesus. I pray they will not be afraid of wrongdoers. Protect them against those who do evil.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)
It’s so easy to take things into our own hands, Lord. I pray my children and grandchildren will wait for You to come to their aid.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! (Psalm 27:14)
Gracious God, when my children and grandchildren ask You for undeserved favor, hear their prayers. Be their strength when they are weak and help them.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” (Psalm 28:7)
