What make grandparents so special? Could it be the wisdom of past years coupled with the understanding of what really matters? A Welsh proverb says it well, “Perfect love sometimes does not come until the first grandchild.”
And author Lois Wyse says, “Grandparenting is a wonderful time of life. Finally we can have the ice cream without first eating the vegetables.”
If you are a grandparent, or have a close relationship with a grandparent, you probably have a smile on your face right now. Yes, grandparents play an important role in the lives of their grandchildren and legacy.
That’s why the Legacy Coalition is having a national conference on Christian grandparenting. It will be held on November 15-17 in Frisco, Texas. Speakers include Chuck Swindoll, Crawford Loritts, Josh McDowell, Michelle Anthony, Gary Chapman, John Trent, and more.
If you are a grandparent, you will not only be inspired at the conference, but also discover resources to help you grandparent successfully. And if you are a pastor or adult ministry leader, you’ll learn how your church can reach grandparents and give them the encouragement they long for.
